A message from Grateful Rescue

We at Grateful Rescue and Sanctuary have some good news and some bad news.
The good news is that we have been working flat-out in 2025 to raise capital campaign money for Project Pit Stop, our ambitious effort to save innocent Indianapolis pit bulls from death row, where too many of them face death simply because they take up space.
Grateful is moving full speed ahead to build modular units at our Muncie Sanctuary. We have the land, and the buildings are coming soon. You can read more about Pit Stop here, and see what two-time Indy 500 winner Al Unser has to say about Grateful, here.
The bad news? We have been so busy with Pit Stop and our capital campaign that sadly, we have opted not to hold our annual fund-raising gala this year. Doing it right just takes too much energy and effort, which we need to focus on getting Pit Stop off the ground.
We love visiting with our supporters, and we will miss you. But make no mistake, the gala will be back in 2026, bigger and better than ever!
Meanwhile, please do follow the link, to learn how you can become a permanent part of our project.
The more money we raise, the more dogs we save.
It’s just that simple.
It’s just that humane.
And we are just that Grateful!
